Mayor Hartless

As we near the end of 2023, I would like to thank everyone who has worked together to move the Town of Parker forward during what was another challenging year. As we continue to await the results of the investigation concerning illegal activities over several years, we continue to try and reconcile our financial situation, which is stable, but there is still much to be done to know exactly where we stand. We are indeed stable and I’m grateful to everyone that has worked to not only get the town back on track but those who are working tirelessly to bring the wrongdoers to justice. Like many of you, I look forward to that day.

With the exception of a permanent town manager, every position at the Town of Parker is
filled for the first time in recent memory. We now have a full-time human resources director,
and I’m confident that will iron out any lingering personnel issues and provide a fair, unbiased
avenue for any future concerns.

One of the exciting projects that we are moving forward with is the renovation of City Park,
which is in the early stages of design and development. This extraordinary effort will require
extensive planning and cooperation with the Colorado River Indian Tribes. When we get a
complete breakdown of the costs involved, it is my hope that we can all work together to bring
the project to fruition. Imagine a state-of-the-art Town/Tribal facility that includes a new skate
park, pickleball courts, soccer/football field, four baseball fields, and a variety of other
recreational amenities!

I have to admit that I never thought I’d live to see the year 2024, but it is upon us. I would
urge everyone to start this new year with a sense of hope, accomplishment, and unity.
On behalf of the Town of Parker, here’s wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy
Holidays, and Happy New Year!

Randy Hartless, Mayor
Town of Parker
